IMU Awards 2022

The awards ceremony of the International Mathematical Union (IMU) is a part of the International Congresses of Mathematicians, held every four years. In 2022 the IMU awards ceremony will be held in Helsinki, on July 5th.

Prior to the awards ceremony, IMU hosted its 19th General Assembly in Helsinki on 3rd-4th of July 2022. The event took place at the Scandic Grand Marina and Marina Congress Center.

The IMU awards ceremony on July 5 (Runeberginkatu 14-16, 00100 Helsinki)

On the 5th of July 2022, the IMU will hold its IMU Award Ceremony 2022 in Helsinki, at Aalto University. During the ceremony the winners of Fields Medals, IMU Abacus Medal, Chern Medal Award, Carl Friedrich Gauss Prize and Leelavati Prize will be announced, and the awards will be handed over.

The scientific talks on July 6 (Runeberginkatu 14-16, 00100 Helsinki)

On the following day, the 6th of July, Fields Medalists and IMU Abacus Medalists gave prize winner lectures in Helsinki.
